Meet the Team
  • Caroline moved from Brazil in order to pursue a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. She graduated from the Masters program in May 2012 and became a board certified physical therapist, then moved to NY to pursue a career in the field. 

    Her physical therapy interests include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and Pilates. Before moving to the USA for her Master program, she obtained a certification in Brazil as a Pilates instructor and likes to incorporate this knowledge in treating her patients. On her free time Caroline likes to play soccer and volleyball, as well as doing yoga.

  • Katarina is a New York state licensed physical therapist. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Hunter College in 2012.

    Katarina specializes in treating athletes with sports injuries and other musculoskeletal conditions. Also trained as a massage therapist, she incorporates manual tissue work, such as myofascial release and trigger point therapy, with corrective exercise techniques to address movement dysfunctions and muscular imbalances. Katarina frequently attends leading sports medicine seminars, and she is trained in the McKenzie method of treating low-back and neck pain.

    Katarina was a competitive soccer player in Europe during her youth, and has been involved in playing sports her whole life. She has acquired her own sports-related injuries, and has first-hand experience in recovering from injuries through physical therapy and rehabilitation. Katarina is currently involved in boxing, and trains at one of New York city’s premiere boxing gyms. She spends some of her weekends working as an EMT for a trauma hospital in the city.

  • Meg graduated from Quinnipiac University where she completed their Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. She is a New York state licensed physical therapist. Meg has clinical experience in a variety of settings in Westchester County and New York City including; Outpatient, Acute Care, Neurological Rehabilitation, and Pediatrics. She is extremely dedicated to patient care as a therapist, a motivator, and an emotional supporter. In addition, she is continuously looking for new educational experiences and has taken a particular interest in therapeutic exercises, McKenzie based exercises, and Brian Mulligan’s manual techniques. Meg’s concentration in sports medicine comes from her history of playing field hockey, softball, and skiing. Meg has been working at Sports Medicine at Chelsea since June 2013 specializing in treating a wide-range of musculoskeletal diagnoses. Meg exercises regularly and is currently working to complete her ACSM Certified Personal Training (CPT) certification in summer 2015.

  • Thomas has started in the field of physical therapy first obtaining a degree as Assistant  Physical Therapist from New York University at the Rusk institute.  Later acquiring a masters degree in Physical Therapy from Mercy College Thomas  has had experience in multiple settings  providing physical therapy from  acute care in Hospitals, long term rehabilitation in clinics and for the past seven

    years focusing on orthopaedic manual therapy.  He has had continuing education from the teachings of Brian mulligan, Geoffrey maitland and mark bookhout as well as the Neuro orthopaedic institute US.  In his spare time he enjoys running and cycling and participates in road races and biathlons.    

  • Mikayla earned dual undergraduate degrees in Dance and Exercise Science from Skidmore College.  She subsequently attended the Drexel University Physician Assistant Program, where she graduated with highest honors and received a Master of Health Science degree.  She is board certified by the NCCPA. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Alpha Eta National Honor Society for Allied Health and Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants.  A proud member of the Sports Medicine at Chelsea team, Mikayla approaches each patient with a comprehensive, caring approach. Her interest in sports medicine stems from her background in ballet and modern dance.  She is also an avid runner; having completed several half marathons, she is always looking for her next athletic challenge

  • Johanna Kreutz, PA graduated from Pace University Physician Assistant Program, where she received a Master of Health Sciences degree. Johanna received a dual Bachelor of Education degree in Athletic Training and Exercise and Sports Science from University of Georgia. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is also a board certified Athletic Trainer.

    In the past, Johanna has had athletic training experience at the collegiate level. When she was not on the sidelines observing and evaluating injuries, she would be competing at the national level in triathlons with the University of Georgia Triathlon team. Through her own injuries she has found her passion for overcoming the limitations of the human body.

    Johanna currently stays active by exploring and participating in the many diverse fitness classes offered across New York City. Johanna is committed to teaming with patients to help them maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
